87 5ksq for sale

the time has come. one of them has to go, and it is the faithful brown 87 5000 s quattro. runs and drives fine. for a sticker in maine, it would need a rear upper ball joint and a little patching on the exhaust, at least. the driver's door handle is funky, but they all are. the clock says 192,000 and change, but it hasn't worked since i've had it. in that year i've probably put 10,000 on it.
it has a new fuel pump, alternator, rear susp. fairly new tires, front brakes, fluids and tuneup items.
clutch it fine, diffs are fine.

Sigh! I wish you were closer. I have a champagne one exactly like yours and I could certainly use a parts car.

how far away are you? i drove this one to chicago and back last winter...i would drive it pretty far if there was a deal in the making...
