Default Question about HID headlight conversion.

Hello guys!

Since that is not soo expensive right now, I have an idea about installing HID xenon headlamps. I want to keep 100-look alike and hi-beams.

But there is no bi-xenon (low/hi-beams) for 9004.
Bi-xenon exist in H4 and others. So, that if I buy euro 100 headlights (which are H4's) and install xenon kit. Especially euro headlights have more adjustments and better light pattern. Will it work out and what else do I need for such conversion?

p.s. I'm not planning go crazy way as Adam Mowafy did.
At least not yet.

Default when you decide to go the crazy way, I might be able to offer some hints.

"audi-bahston" is attempting the same conversion as well.

Default Thanks! :)

Only thing is scaring me about going crazy as you did is glass replacement and overall cost.

Default Re: Question about HID headlight conversion.

Go to the following link, don't just stick HID bulbs in euro lights.

Default Than how come...

Than how come all those sellers are selling HID kits off eBay on a "plug-in-play" basis?

Default So, was it direct fit...

So, was direct fit, without any additional schields? Nobody going to flash at me, my car is lowered and front sits even lower

I had to remove the sheilds for the halogen bulbs as they hit the hids. I have a nice flat pattern beam and no, I dont get flashed. But I have turbo lights, I cannot vouch for how well the non-turbo lights will work.

Default im sure there is some glare, the DOT lens is designed to throw light everywhere

which is the main reason why we cant see **** on the road with them. lol

HID's are supposed to have a distinct beam cutoff. theres so much light, it has to be put only where the driver needs it.

heres mine in the garage:

Yea I agree, but the euro lenses have the cutoff built in. I have a pattern very similar to yours.
