I had a spare new 90 Amp regulator and was tempted to install it in a 110 Amp alternator, but both Audi and Worldpac assign different part numbers to the 90 and 110 Amp voltage regulators.
They do seem to interchange physically, though. I didn't check the current ratings of the VRs' large TO-3 transistors, but I'm sure that the VRs have different part numbers for a good reason: they aren't interchangeable. |
