Default 89 instrument cluster CIRCUIT BOARD prices ...

My speedo has died. I've done the re-solder fix about six months ago to fix a bouncing speedometer, and that fixed it ... until now.

The speedo is completely dead. I checked the fault codes and all I get is 4444, which means no fault codes stored (right?).

My mechanic tells me it's probably the instrument cluster circuit board.

Have any of you had to purchase a new circuit board for these cars, where, and how much are they?

Cheaper would be to get the whole instrument cluster from a donor car and a yard. That is if you are sure it is the board.

In the other thread you were concerned about the speed sensor and the code will not be given to the computer until the heat soak condition occurs so ... you will need to drive until it fails to see the code.

Just to be sure, the fault codes are stored in California cars but in the rest you need to pull the codes with the engine still running and after the fault condition has been given to the computer (because they are erased every time the key is turned off). If youjust turn the key on and pull codes you will only get 4444
