I'd just go with an airbag suspension. Less exense, less weight. You can get it from just a simple fill-it-yourself bag to a system controlled via dash switches.
My dad and I put an airbag "helper" setup on the rear of his Chevy van, installed in a couple hours and is of the fill-it-yourself variety. It was a couple hundred bucks I thought. The "cockpit controlled" systems, especially 4-wheel systems, are a lot more as they require an onboard compressor and tank. When you do the conversion, you'll want to get different shocks/struts/inserts/dampers that will work better with the variable ride height. Bilstein and Koni make dampers that work well with variable ride heights...figure $150+ per corner for those dampers.

There are several companies in the business now, mostly geared to pre-war Fords. Do a search on Google for "air suspension". There is also a compay named "Bagmaster" their specialty is Lincolns, but Lincoln is the only car I know of that came with front air struts. Most air bag systems simply replace an existing coil spring with an air bag, using the same perches. Air "helper springs" in each corner might do it. Not sure how they would mount in the front. If you want it on board, Lincoln compressors are $140.00 rebuilt, next to free in junkyards. Do a Google search for "Lincoln MK VIII air suspension" that should find the struts, I have no idea if they could be adapted. A MK VIII weighs about the same as a Quattro at about 3600 pounds. That is within 100 pounds of a fully equipped Quattro. The Lincoln is only about 3" longer, don't know if that matters.
