Default Re: Never done it but ....

Last time i wanted to replace mine, they gave me a quote for $1800 - parts and labor. This Windshiled with builtin antenna is VERY expensive.

Mine has a little 1/2 inch crack on it caused by a big truck's load. Sad story

Default That's a $1550 premium for the antenna

I had my car's windshield (it has no antenna) replaced about ten years ago (with a very nice aftermarket one, indistinguishable by me from the original). Cost with labor (by an auto glass shop), was about $400. A small crack recently appeared. The same shop just quoted me about $250 for the same part with labor.

Default My car has no external antenna... does this mean it's built into the windshield as well?

Double (or are they just single?) laminated glass is a great thing...
