Default Compression Test Results

Hi folks,

I have just completed a pre-purchase inspection on a UrS4.

The compression test revealed: 123-128 psi across the cylinders and 10-15% across cylinders on the leakdown.

Car is approaching 200K miles and in very good condition.

How do these numbers look to you guys?

Regards,
Oscar

Default on a cold motor? Aren't they supposed to be around 150-160psi?

Default Bad. See the link (found through Search Forums) inside.

Searched on "compression" in our forum to find a previous post I made on this topic. Your numbers are out of the recommended range.

Default Pressures listed are on a warm engine, so, trident1067, if you did it on a cold motor

retry it and you'll see them higher, probably up to where they are supposed to be. IF the motor was warm, then you are where you are at.

Default Why would a compression test be done on a cold engine? (I wonder)
