Default Single mass flywheel peeps... let's talk!

Ok, since it looks like my tranny is coming out, there will be some new shiny bits going in before the tranny heads get re-installed. I have driven many cars with light flywheels in the past, so I understand their benefit, but this is my first car with a DMF, and it is throwing me off a bit. Am I losing anything by going to a solid flywheel? This car is not quite a daily driver but there are spurts when it does do quite a lot of day to day driving.

I guess I am asking how much comfort I lose versus how much performance I gain. As much as I enjoy going fast, I like the around town comfort too!

Your input is requested...

Default Aluminum flywheels do work very well, and they're not all copies of the 7a....

We offer both the 7A and AAN flywheels in aluminum, and we also have a drop-in single mass 18lb steel flywheel coming out for the guys wanting the 'in-between' fix.

Default Daily driving on an aluminum flywheel in these is still very do-able. A lot depends on the clutch

selection. You can get a very grabby clutch on a stock FW thats more work to drive smoothly than a less aggressive clutch on an aluminum flywheel. All comes down to personal preference.

At this point we've got several options out there depending on what you're looking for.
Aluminum 7a and AAN style flywheels, and an all new billet steel single mass flywheel coming in at 18lbs for the perfect balance in between stock and aluminum response.
