Default weak points in drivetrain?

say with the built motor and a bigger turbo...i'm looking to make about 450whp..

from my understanding, only first gear is weak in the stock trans right? so i can just go easy in first gear and be fairly safe? anything else i should look into?

Default and if you get that sorted, and you do a big launch, then the rear diff. Ask Nick.

Default Not sarcasm. Straight answer to your question. After 1st gear the next drive train weak point is..

the clutch. If you had a wide first gear, say in an RS2 tranny, and a good strong clutch, then the next weak point is the rear diff (it can blow up during a hard launch, once nothing else breaks ahead of it).

Straight answers to your question.

Re: injectors, I think the answer is a big NO. But you should ask it as a separate post/question to keep the thread clean.

Default Being able to launch hard and deciding not to are two different things. I agree on the $$$ issue.

I learned about launching and clutches the hard way in the first 3 or so months of owning my 93 S4 (back in 1998).

New clutch, installed = $1000 back then.

Default Well, what? Give straight answers to questions?

That sometimes people don't want to hear?

Probably.
