Default S6 Plus FS

For $6,999!

Looks like a bogus listing.

Euro Plates, its listed as a VW Passat and the Car Fax comes back as an Audi A6 2.8[list][*]http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...56419180&rd=1&

Default I emailed the seller a few questions. We'll see if it's legit.

Default I MAY be able to check it out. I don't think it is an S6 Plus though...

Just by looking at the engine you can tell it is not an S6 Plus. The engine is clearly from a 90'-94' V8. What is wierd however is that the power steering resevoir is larger than an A6. I think they might have swapped it from the V8, not sure though? I think it has euro fenders with the turn signals but it is possible they cut those into there. The funny thing is that the car also has the S6 Plus front bumper. My gut tell me this is a project car though. Nonetheless, it is still a neat machine. If we can get some interior shots that would help a lot. Wasn't there someone on here from Canada that wanted to put a V8 in a 100/A6?

Default You are correct, it looks like a conversion - it also has the black roof rails

Car Fax said it was registered in TN and TX.

Default No where in the auction does it say its an S6 Plus, just an S6 V8. But I agree it's probably a scam.

Default I highly doubt this is a scam, guy might not know what he's selling

When you have over 700 positive feedbacks and only 1 negative you aren't in the business of scamming people. According to the vin its a A6, someone just put the V8 motor and styling parts on. I wouldnt mind having that car, wish I could of got in on the buy it now. Interested to see where it will go, no reserve.

Default It's pretty simple actually.

Scamers send spoof e-mails that look like they are from PayPal/eBay, etc. telling you that your account has been suspended, or something of the like, and trick you into click a link that sends you to what you think is eBay or Paypal's site, and enter your login and password. At that point they now have your info and use your actual account put up auctions for non-existent items, accept payment, and run.

I have already contacted eBay to look into this.
