Default Toluene... pretty good stuff.

I've been having a knock issue with my MTM 1+ setup the last few weeks. I don't know if it's because we're still on winter gas and it's warmer, or what, but the last few tanks (from different stations) have been worse for detonation than ever.

I added 1 gallon of toluene to 17 gallons of Shell 93 today, and it got rid of almost all of the pinging. I still got an occasional rattle when mashing the pedal in higher gears around 3000 RPM. I think I'll try 1.5:17 for the next tank.

It's a PITA adding it though. Next step is water injection...

Default Just so you know, the tank is 80 L or 21.16 US gal. I've added 9 L of toluene to 71L 94 octane.

Default I forgot about the three mystery gallons

Have you ever actually ran the tank down so far that it took >75L to fill up? I think the one time I ran out of gas it took less than 20 gallons.

Default Paint store

Sherwin Williams in this case. The price didn't seem very good ($13/gal) so I am going to call around.

Default All I know the manual says 80L and when the fuel warning light comes on, fill = 65 L.

Default is it just labeled Toulene, or is it a paint thinner w/ toulene as the ingredient

i think i should call some contractor supply stores or something. Hardware stores are not the place.
