its for our A6, 1996 auto Q. Terminal 30 is that the fuses by the A pillar? I have no idea what any of it really means but we need to get an inspection sticker...stupid MA

Well, hard to guess at all of it, but
B+ refers to the output of the power supply, + rail. Most symetircal power supplies run "B+ and B-". Of course, since cars are single ended, thsi is kinda stupid.
Assume the first number is a code, referencable to the factory service manual. do you have it?
Assume the 2nd denotes WHICH power supply, and that the "power supply" is really a regulator somewhere.
The terminal is probably on that PCB.
All guesses.

I would start by throwing a dealer/Audi ignition switch at it, and see what happens.
But you don't say if this is an engine code, air bag code, ABS code, transmission code, or what.

The Bentley sez:
"J220 - Motronic Engine Control Module (ECM) Supply Voltage"
Ewww....I e-mailed the test procedure from the manual to you FWIW. I think <b>austinado16</b> may be onto something with replacing the ignition switch though. Otherwise, try to locate fuse S103 (I don't know where it is at the moment).
