Bose Radio Unlock Codes

Re: Bose Radio Unlock Codes
It is the stock unit, but the codes have been lost. I'm pretty sure I've seen something about how to get the codes on these pages, but I don't know when that was to start looking for the posts.

Re: Bose Radio Unlock Codes
I just went through this and AFAIK calling your dealer is the only way. Some may even ask you to bring the car in, but I found that if you have the VIN# of the CAR and the Serial number from the radio they don't have a problem doing it over the phone for free. If one dealer says no, just call another. After searching these forums and purchasing software, calling the dealer was the only way for Audi based Bose stereos. Dealer called me back with mine in 15 minutes. I have heard that replacement units were hard coded with 1111 and in some cars it was written on a label in the spare tire, but our of the 3 audi's I have owned that has never been the case.

Re: Bose Radio Unlock Codes
Thanks-This is a replacement (but stock) radio and I tried the 1111 code which didn't work. I can't seem to get the pinhead Audi dealer in this area to call me back to even find out what my service question is.

Re: Bose Radio Unlock Codes
I had to take my car and radio to the dealer. They unlocked the replacement which I purchased from a junk yard and installed it for around $50.00. No other options from dealers in my area.
