Default Climate Control question: How does the CC unit power on/off? (private dealer messed with wiring)

The morons I bought my car from decided to "reroute" some wiring because the CC unit would not work properly. So they ran some wire from *somewhere*, through the fuse box (with no fuse), then tacked an in-line fuse between the fuse box and the actual head unit.

I will be going through the wiring diagrams to return this to stock and find out what went wrong during my car's awful stay at that Independent Used Car Dealer.

Question is: in normal use, how does the unit power on? What buttons do you push? What happens when you first push the power-and-life-giving button?

TIA, if I think of any other questions, guess where I'll go? here...

Default oooohhh, thank you. I don't think mine turns off when you do that at all.

I'll have to go check. If that's the case, I'll have to find out WHY it doesn't turn off. Actually, I think that's what the sales-guy said--It doesn't turn off so we put this neat little switch in. The switch is teh gayest looking evAr.

Thanks again
