Default My battery keeps dying overnight?

My CQ won't hold a charge. And I read on here that maybe the security system could cause this? What should I look for?

Default Re: My battery keeps dying overnight?

get a good battery. get a multimeter. after installing a good battery; pull the keys out of the ignition, shut all the doors/windows. Pop the hood and remove the negative terminal off the battery. Now put the multimeter on mini-amps and run it from the negative on the battery to a ground position. IIRC you should be getting anywhere from 20-30mA. If you're getting more, pull out one fuse at a time. If the current drops back into nominal numbers, you at least now have the correct circuit to work with.
