Default 1 day after 402 mod, codes show, help:

Test drove the car after doing 417/414 and everything was fine, drove it the next day to work and back, and let it sit over night... started it up in the morning and had ESP light, ABS light, and Level Control Light on... Vag-Com showed the following:

18036 Powertrain Data Bus: Missing Message from Steering Angle Sensor P1628-35-00

01316 ABS Control Module 79-00 Please Check Fault Codes

Neither code will clear through VAG-COM, although I'm a newbie with it, and I may be missing something, but I clear other codes about the alarm, etc...

Is this a result of the 402 changes? Can I clear the codes myself?

Default Are you getting codes from # 34? Suspension system? If so you might need to redo 402 mod to clear

Default Yes it is from 34... question about redo...

If I have already put in values of 417 front 414 rear...

how do I redo the level? Do I follow the same procedure and put in 402 as a value on all four corners?

Default If you want to keep it where it is 417/414 -- enter 402 for all the wheels... if you

want to return level to orginal: enter 387 for the fronts and 390 for the rears Remember to do last step channel 05 enter 00001 or 01 to complete adaptation (mod) process.

Default I DON'T THINK THAT IS CORRECT!!!

I went home, hooked the VAG up and entered 402 into all four corners, then shut it off, and the car lowered itself even more and was scrapping...

So from 417/414... then to 402/402... it was SLAMMED...

I re-entered in 372 up front and 378 out back and it came back to normal...doubling the 15mm and 12mm double drop.

WHY DID IT DO THAT???

Default Are you letting the car self-level when hit the "up" to "01" before you enter your coding?

Default yeah, I hit the up to 01 etc... but when I put in the value...

I highlighted the 402 and changed it, then hit test, then save...

Did that make it slam? I was in a rush...

Default Again, Go slow & always INPUT values, don't just save the 00402 that's there, and do last step..

enter 00001 or 1 for adpt channel #5 to complete process.
