Default DLR is replacing Instr Cluster...VERIFIED - color DIS not possible :-(

ordered instead of replacing it with the same red pixel display? I have an '02 6SP M. It finally got below 50F in So Cal (Orange Co.) and I was able to bring the car in to have the Service MGR witness how the red pixels fade in the center of the display.

Thanks for all the help everyone. BTW..the Serv. MGR @ Audi Mission Viejo (CA) said that he usually sees the DIS fail in extreme heat. This is the first he's seen one fail in the cold. The picture I took of the failure w/ my Treo 650 did not warrant a replacement. As soon as he saw it fail in person - no questions asked, replace it. How lucky could I get having snow level come down to 1K feet in So Cal to duplicate the occurance?

Don't believe that the new color clusters are compatible with any of our older ar's.
