I finished the fog light mod. Thanks to K2audi for posting his experience on this modification.
This allows me to run my parking lights along with the fogs as daytime running lights for safety when driving two-lane roads. The mod does not change the high beam disable of the fog lights or the 'lights left on' warning chime. I found that you only need one add-a-circuit fuse tap to complete this modification. Autozone had this part for $5.99. I cut off the original crimped butt connector and added a male blade connector. I did file the edges of the blade connector to make it narrower (like a fuse blade). ![]() I used the #39 fuse circuit as my hot tap as did K2audi. I removed the 15 amp fuse from the #39 slot and the 15 amp fuse from the #36 fog light circuit. I placed those fuses in the add-a-circuit tap. So, in the tap, the first 15 amp fuse provides protection to the #39 hazard circuit, and the second 15 amp fuse delivers power and provides protection for the fog lights via the red supply wire. Basically the add-a-circuit replaces the #36 fuse holder. You just plug the bladed supply wire in the right side of the #36 holder. This is important. The left side is linked to the relay that provided power to the fogs only when the headlights were on. When the headlights are off, the relay is grounded at one end of the coil. As a result, if the supply is connected to the left side, it will blow the fuse. First, I plugged the blade connector in the right side of the #36 fog light circuit. This way, it is not hot while I'm making the connection. Second, I plugged the add-a-circuit tap into #39. That's it; attempt at your own risk. ![]() The switch physically functions the same way. However, with the switch in the parking light position, the fogs come on when the switch is pulled out (yes, front and rear).

You still need to pull the switch out to the second position for the rears to come on.

...you turn off the ignition? Do the fog lights stay on or do they turn off leaving the park lights still on?

Thank you.
When the ignition is off, the fog lights, if pulled on, remain on with the parking lights. However, you could change this behavior. I chose the power supply from the #39 hazard circuit which has constant power. You could tap a different circuit that is only hot when the ignition is on, and then the fog lights would only be supplied with power and functional when the ignition is in that position.
