Default Squealing breaks - anyone have a solution?

Car came back form shop last Friday with the rear pads replaced. Ever since then the breaks, after about 10 minutes driving (when they warm up?), have been screaming and squealing terribly.

I've tried hard breaking forward and this does not solve the problem. I've tried hard breaking in reverse and this removes the problem for about 5 minutes, but as soon as I hit stop-go traffic in a town it comes back.

Is there a quick DIY fix for this, or do I have to take it back to the shop?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Default I'd go back to the installer and take them for a ride...

so they don't take you for a ride.
