Default You might have to re-code your airbag module, boston driver and a couple of other a6 guys have done

this, ask this question in the C5 A6 forum.

Default one idea, which worked for me...

what year is your car? mine is an 05, and there are new sensors/switches indicating whether the seat belts are on in both driver and passenger receptacles. what I did was unbolt (need $12 12 point special tool) the old seat belt receptacles from my ar seats and install them on my RS6 seats. then I rewired as factory the leads coming from the receptacles to the factory harness, carefully pulling out the pins, and re-installing them. None of this was easy for seat #1, but very easy for seat #2. You just have to figure out which part of your underseat wire harness led to the now "empty" plugs. They are getting no reading now, and therefore the fault.
