As RMQ would say.. "find a good repair shop or DIY".. he has over 95K on his allroad and is ahead of the extended warranty cost curve. Figure 3000 for a good exclusionary, his out of pock is less than 1/3 and only 5K miles unitl the big 100K and the experiement is ruled a success.
My Allroad has 65K and climbing rapidly. I have yet to use my warranty extension. SHHHHHHHH!!! If you must.. the good feedback has been from HONDA's plan.. they will cover the allroad and from Autowarrantybrokers.com

I should probably bite the bullet and have peace of mind. I am checking into Honda's plan.
Thanks for the advice |

I was able to get a pretty good deal compared to what some dealers were charging, and felt pretty comfortable since I purchased through a dealer which should help a little in case something happens to the main company JM&A. Is it advisable? that would be entirely up to you. For me I felt it was a must. I can do basic maintenance but do not trust myself with more of the complex mechanical items we have on our cars, plus, if I sell the car it transfers or I can recoup a % of the cost back to me. I've read were some have just put the money aside themselves for repairs.
I did a lot of research and felt that the APP would be the best, even though I felt a little like I was gambling with any of the warrany plans. I hope this helps. Good luck

from just a few days ago. It stated how the APP adjuster was rude, arbitrary and did not follow Audi repair methoods and guidlines. He even refused a legitmate claim because he "felt like it" or so the story goes.

It's complex and expensive. Throwing parts at a problem that isn't fully undersood is a repair method I don't want to underwrite. So far, i've needed a new alternator, which would have been $1300 through the dealer(!!!). They don't cover tie-rod ends or control arms, though (grrr).
The subtle problem with thewarranty is that you will be using the dealer, probably, so you are stuck with their mechanics and their high labor rates for whatever isn't covered. I'm lucky that my dealer has one (only) guy that i trust to work on the car. -df

But the company went out of business about two months after we bought the car, we were never notified until I went to use it at our local dealer, Lucky that the Dealer that sold us the warrenty is backing it up, it just means that we have to drive 150 mile to their store to have warrenty work done, (By the way they just covered a dash cluster and front CVs.

Can anyone post how much their extended warranty was? I'm seriously considering getting it. Thanks.
