Happy birthday (4th) to my allroad: 85K oil change today and....Uh Ohhh....

Bad CV boot. Suggestions sought - replace boot only right away to try to save the joint? Run it dry until it ***** the bed and replace whole CV joint? Or is it easier to just replace the whole drive shaft (this is what I did in my Corrado with remanufactured parts)
