Default Anyone have their black roof repainted?

When my Atlas Gray arrives, in 3 months or so, I'm considering having the roof painted to match the body color. Reason: We can get over a month of 100+ degree weather here in So. Oregon and I can only imagine that the black roof will act like a heat sink giving my head a sunburn from the inside and adding to the already elevated inside abient car temp.

Also the original paint used on the roof is a matte finish which would get dirty the first time I drive up the 1/4 mile dirt road leading to my house, and continue to look worse every day. Anyone had their roof re-painted to match the color of their car?

Any suggestions, cautions, concerns, experiences you'd be willing to share. Let 'em rip!
Thanks, Ken

I don't mind the roof but I think the bumpers and the fender flares would look better painted to match the car.

Default Re: Bumpers are made to be bumped! (more)

That is the problem with most cars these days. A slight bump and the paint chips on the bumper. Whatever happened to beautiful chrome bumpers or heavy rubber mother fu&*ers. The allroad dark plastic bumper which contrasts beautifully most of the cars (except black) at least adds some protection. Why paint them? City drivers understand the parking dilemma when you have to slightly bump to fit into a tight space. My Avant has several "bruises" on the back painted surface which I hope will not happen when my ALllroad arrives in two days. Bumpers are made to bump!
