Default Spotted on 355 this morning: distinguished gentleman in a jacket and tie driving a Buick

while eating applesauce with a spoon from a large jar. This was not a little disposable plastic cup with a removable foil top. It was a large glass jar with a screw cap, perhaps 48 ounces. Motts, I think.

I'm not sure if any commentary is necessary.

Default I saw something interesting two days ago in downtown Wheaton.

I am waiting at the corner of President and College. SB traffic is waiting for the train. I see an Audi pull next to mein the left turn lane. It's a very young guy in a silver S8. He stops short of the stop sign next to me, puts it in neutral, revs the motor, smirks at me, rolls to the stop sign for a left turn. Then he guns it, unloads the front end, gets the rear a little loose, and damn near oversteers into the curb. I was thinking two things: Who the hell was that and does his dad know what he's doing to his car? I was just at Putnam taking turn one at 80mph, so forgive me if I am not impressed with this awesome display of horsepower.

Default Funny, I drive through that intersection one or two times a day.

I live blocks from there.

I've also seen a kid in a silver S8 driving too fast around the Wheaton/GE area. I think dad needs to take the keys back. Maybe his dad is driving that white Subie with the blowoff valve that blasts by my house every day.

Default Seriously, I'll bet his old man would be uber pissed if he knew that his car was almost curbed.

Worse yet, there is a lot of pedestrian traffic there too. It just wasn't the time of the place to get on it. I laughed at him and his false sense of coolness.

Default I witnessed a similar incident today...

Some slovenly large greaseball decides to rocket down Plymouth Court, in the South Loop, today in an E55. Real brillant! I can't imagine how this idiot could own, or even borrow, such a car. The street is very narrow and has multiple exit/entrance points with heavy pedestrian traffic. 30 mph is usually too fast for this stretch of road, actually it's closer to being an alley, than to have smoke coiling off the rear tires when he first turned on to Plymouth Court from Polk Street.

With his intelligence and his car he is on the Darwin selection process short list.

Default personally, if he's blowing all the good kids in town... I think his parents should be notified.

he's probably compensating for a lack of self-esteem.
