Default ABCC rocked.

I think this was the most fun I ever had at a track event. Big thanks to everyone who worked to pull it off, awesome event. My instructor Craig Jones was outstanding. I learned so much this weekend and can't wait for next season.
I am half glad the boss's car died at tech and he dropped to my run group in the A6. Running rounds with a seasoned driver did me alot of good.
I do apologize for not doing as much tech as last time but when the boss's car is down and review time is a few months away....well you get the idea.
Yes, I was the idiot who tried to bed his pads in on the track. For future reference that's a good way to wear them off all the way in 4 laps. Make a note.
Thanks again for everyone who worked to make the event happen. For those who missed it or have never gone, you are really missing out.

Default Yeah, especially when your rotors look like cheese grates to begin with.

Default Glad you are another satisfied addict, er customer.

The best part was when you pitted-in after the meatball. After we talked and you drove away, you left behind a huge trail of brake pd material and metal dust. Once centrifugal force was no longer holding in the spent pad & rotor material it spilled ou all over the grid leaving four black stripes.

Default Re: ABCC rocked.

We were between 6 and 7 and I can see you and another car going into 8, then plumes of black smoke and I figure something really bad is about to happen. Then nothing, the two of you make the turn and go thru the 9-10 combo with no drama. As we're heading down the long straight, you were coming up on 11 and suddenly the car is bellowing smoke again. Paying more attention this time I could actually see it coming from both lower sides of the car and man did it stink! Don't get me wrong, I love the smell of brake pads in the morning but this was nasty burnt stink. Was just glad to see it was something so easily resolved. How are those rotors feeling now that they're lathered with half your pads?

Default Oddly enough, not too bad.

I put the 3/4 worn HPS's back on and went home. I managed to find my one missing partially worn OEM pad in my tool box and have an extra set of rotors in the trunk ready to be machined at my buddies tonight so all will be good again. It was a good thing I was pulled off the track. One more time of hitting the brakes and I would have lost my caliper pistons for sure.
