Default Anyone on Motopersona?

Hi!
I'm new to the forum and to Audi. I've had my Audi for a few months now and I've decided to get serious about it. I am going to Motopersona tomorrow to check them out and I figured while I am there might as well install a short shifter since they had it in stock. Anyone familiar with Motopersona or other shops in the Northwest suburbs? Thanx for the help. Also, the UUC Motorworks short shifter: anyone have it, to be able to give me some input?

Default Motopersona is great.

all the employees are nice to talk to and very helpful. i think all the work i havent done myself has been done there.

what year is your car? if it is a 2000+ non=pushdown, i would suggest getting the stratmosphere short shifter. its the same price as UUC, 15% reduced throw, no slop, feels a lot better. i've had both shifters, and would not go back to UUC.

Default DUB Werks in Libertyville is hardcore speedshop!

You want serious hardware and look at it in the flesh not on a computer screen or in a catalog, DUB werks is the joint.
No disrespect to Moto but the guys at DUB are hardcore VW/Audi.

Default No disrespect to Panzerwagen, but if you don't know what you want before you get to the shop...

perhaps you shouldn't be deciding what's good or not by perusing the hardware.

Default Re: No disrespect to markbradford but.......

Sometimes looking at something in the flesh answers questions and doubts you may have.
Blind dates and mods for my Audi from a catalog and computer screen don't thrill me, how about you?

Default i love rich and everyone at dubwerks, they're great.

and i have had them do some work to my car as well. but i think as far as shopping goes, MP offers more products. as far as installations, dubwerks fits the bill a bit more. if you're looking for engine swaps, turbo timer installs, belt changes, more complex installs, dubwerks is the joint.
i think it also depends on where you're located. most people dont want to travel to my part of the country and visit dubwerks

Default I like MP quite a bit, good guys and they do good work.

Ive had a few mods done by them, and they did a good job, listened to my instructions, and kept me updated, called back, etc...

Cheers,
Sameer

Default Also, talk with Tuan at GRD Performance in Naperville. You can find his post above.

He has one or two ex-Audi techs working for him. I am very confident in their work.
