Default Need help with S4 (B6) Nav+ and Glove CD Changer

I just got the Nav+ installed along with an Audi glove box CD changer, and for some reason it does not read the CD changer. It displays " NO CD Changer", even though the CD changer is hooked up. From my knowledge I guess the there is some problem with the wiring harness connection from the NAV+ head unit to the CD changer. Any idea if any other Audi or VW uses the same connection from the CD changer to the head unit (with the correct number of pins?)

Thanks in advance.

Default Unfortunately....you need a specific model version of that changer....can't get it in the US...more.

For the B6 A4/S4 and C6 A6, Audi offers a glove box CD Changer. Unfortunately, there is a specific version/revision letter that works with the Navigation Plus. The US Audi parts dealers cannot source this part. You can contact www.vagparts.com as they can order it for you.

Contact Alan at sales@vagparts.com.

For the OEM glove box changer you must get part#
8E0 035 111 B, or C. It must have a version letter at the end of the part number. It also requires harness, part#8E0051592

I know of one person that has this new version CD changer working in his B6 S4 Cab...with Nav+. He had to spend $500 and order it from vagparts.com.

FYI - I have a Nav+ in my A6. You should join the Yahoo/Audi/Nav+ forum....where all of us congregate.
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/AudiNav/

Worst case..you sell your original changer for $250....and spend another $250...on this one....or you can buy the CD changer cable...and run one to the trunk for the trunk mounted version.

Good luck!
