Default this is what i would do

i like my factory Bose (with upgraded Kicker Amp/Sub)...good enough for me. But maybe in a year or two, I would replace the HU with a new Kenwood first and then upgrade to two pairs of Kicker Components second. If you have nice speakers, you need a nice unit to drive them good.

Default I'd upgrade components, add a sub, and an amp (or amps) to power it all

that's what I'm going to do. I have a 10" sub now with the stock non-bose system and find it a bit lacking, especially in the midbass.

Default Start with the sub....

i've got two 10" subs and it really fills out the sound well. I've thought about adding another amp and some components to power the doors...maybe some time this summer when i'll have time to throw at a project like that
