Default what is this for????

on 2000 A4 in the back middle seat behind the arm rest and the velcro cover. its a long thing attached to the seat that pulls out and unravels. can i just cut this off without really hurting anything? my plan was to take the back side of the middle seat panel off, exposing the "long black pull out thing" cutting that off so that there is just the fabric with the velcro there covering the hole. with the arm rest down it would serve as a port into the car for the bass. would cutting this piece off make a difference? its pretty thick when its wrapped up.

Default The long black thing would be the ski boot.

you put your ski's in there for when you go to the mountain and dont dirty or mess up the interior. I dont think there would be huge noticable difference at all.

Default But it is a pretty nice feature, especially if you ever transport long, skinny things like skis.
