Guys - below is a notice of an upcoming winter driving school in
Quebec. I went last year. There are 3 ice tracks : a skid pad
purposely sloped from N to S so you get to experience understeer at the
low end and oversteer near the upper part; a road course with terrain!;
and a kidney shaped course for practicing p-turn full lock slides. The
price is $269.00 CAN for two days. There is an convenient on line
registration service that takes credit cards.
We are looking for Instructors and Instructor candidates if anyone is
interested and feels qualified.

*David James*
Canada Chapter *in cooperation with the *Northeast Chapter (NEQ)* of the
*Audi Club of North America* is hosting a Winter Driving School at
M?caglisse, north of Montreal.
M?caglisse is located in Notre Dame de la Merci, approximately 80
minutes north of Montreal and 10 minutes south of St. Donat. The
facility offers the most complete ice driving installations in eastern
North America, with a variety of training areas including a 200 ft. skid
pad, a 1000 ft. slalom course with moveable cones, emergency braking
areas and training tracks with level changes and varied curves. It is
Quattro heaven!
In the comfortably heated Chalet, the Chief Instructor will present the
schedule for the two day school and then explain skids on ice and the
ways to control your car on a slippery surface.
The students will be divided into groups and each group will be directed
to an exercise area where they will meet their ACNA certified
instructors. The instructors will explain the exercises, give
demonstrations and provide continuous advice as you drive the courses.
With approximately 1 instructor for 3 students, you get personalized
instruction. You will learn fast and have fun.
During each day, the groups change places so that every student gets to
practice each of the training exercises.
You will learn about the different types of skids, and you will get to
understand under steer, over steer, threshold braking and car control on
slippery surfaces. Above all you will have fun mastering the ice!
The program starts promptly at 9:00 in the morning and finishes at 5:00
in the afternoon, with a lunch break to exchange experiences with new
friends while enjoying a three course hot meal.
Come out and play in Quattro Paradise by registering for the School on
the registration link listed below.
We look forward to meeting you at M?caglisse on the 3rd and 4th of February!
