Default Perhaps so, on the underlying technology, but Audi chose how to implement it.

Default Re: Anyone know if Homelink is standard on the 2009? Can't seem to find it in any literature.

I can attest, it is not. I just picked up mine today (2.0T, quattro, premium package) and it is nowhere to be found.

I wouldn't be so bothered by this, but on the Audi website, there is a microsite (see link below) that shows all of the available technologies, by model, that Audi offers. Under the A3, it shows only 5 technology features, one of which is Homelink. Since it is NOT available as a part of ANY package, wouldn't you think that implies it is already on the car? It's obviously not a deal breaker, but for a car with a $34k+ sticker, a car should have a garage door opener, as well as an auto-dimming mirror. My 2006 Kia Sportage, that I am getting rid of when the lease expires in January, had both of these, and the sticker was under $22,000! I know many would say I should have known these things beforehand, but I have no Audi dealer anywhere near me, and it's obvious from researching this forum, information is hard to come by.

Default I agree. However, what bothers me even more about my '09 is the lack of seat memory!

Very annoying since I share the car with my wife.

I got a call from Audi Support today, concerning my rant that I sent them. I spoke with a representative who knew as much about cars as I know about field hockey. She apologized for the confusion and said the website was wrong and that they would be telling the appropriate people to fix it. When I mentioned that Homelink doesn't appear to be available since 2006, and asked her if I was the first person to bring this to Audi's attention, she said I was. Yeah, right.

Oh, well, I guess we'll make do with a clunky, old door opener taking up space in my small center console.
