Default K&N Has a new CAI for 2.0

I'll find the link, looks nice and I know one guy who had the prototype.

Left the linik at work, so may not find it until monday. Not advertised on their site.

Default heres the link, K&n Typhoon, 18hp gains??!??!?!?!?

18hp seems a little ridiculous indeed..but they supplied a dyno on the link so check it out.

Default I've got an AEM. Very noticeable increase in performance, particularly when used with a chip..

But I'm getting tired of the 'Hoover' sound and considering selling it. If you go with the 'Snorkel' type, Neuspeed, EVOMS, AEM etc, this sound may get annoying after a while as it did for me. From what I've seen, the Carbonio does not produce this sound but still offers some gains but not quite as much as the 'snorkle' type intakes. If I can find a used Carbonio I'd buy it and sell my AEM.

Default Ya, I personally wouldn't mind more noise, neither would my bro.

Default thx, can you elaborate on snorkel type? do you mean, true CAI in that it's insulated from the

engine bay more?

Default Thanks. You know...I used to have a K&N FIPK on my old Tahoe. Sounded awesome, it was quicker,

but on these Euro cars, well I guess my S, heatsoak is an issue and I've opted to go for the type that truly insulates the filter from the rest of the bay rather than with what K&N calls a "heat shield."
