Default Here's another new thread: My evolving mods - early reviews

Put on the forged 18" wheels this past weekend. Ride is a bit more sharp over bumps, but mostly more noisy (tires are used, oem's were conti contacts).

Transitional handling better (didn't test g's). Stock sport suspension handles the 18's pretty well from a comfort perspective. Maybe due partly to the fact that 18's weigh under 17 lbs and stock 17's were much heavier.

As these rims/tires came from a previously owned audi, the offset is not ideal at +40. Rim is only 7.5" wide though. With car full of people (one weighing 270), i do get rub on the screw over bumps. I'm afraid of what will happen when i do the neuspeed springs, but i will probably try the screw removal/bend in tip. Stance looks MUCH more aggressive (wide) from the back of the car.

Dealer finally got the post-I3(?) revision from Revo for my car. Installed it today with more-aggressive-than-default settings due to our higher octane gas.

Drove less than 10 miles so far, and i don't know if ecu needs to "learn", but it is stronger (so THAT's torque steer!), and very smooth -- perhaps smoother than stock? (yes i did get the factory ecu flash update)

Difference in power doesn't seem as dramatic as when i chipped a 2.7t motor. I should have more impressions later.

Next is the FSD+neuspeeds, APR DP, and Revo Stg2. Maybe in a week.

Default i'll try to do soon

i have one that compares relationship of tire to wheel well (from bumper view) of stock and aftermarket.

i hope +40 works too!
my calcs:
+45 on 8" rim = 56.6mm "stickout" from hub
+40 on 7.5" rim = 55.3mm "stickout" from hub -- so less "stickout"

My tires are somewhat square-shouldered so that doesn't help.
