Default DSG and Neutral? Yes I searched but couldn't find a definitive answer.

If you pull on both paddles does DSG go into neutral?

Default No, I don't think so.

The only time the DSG is supposedly in neutral is at a full stop, with the brakes applied.

Have you tried out your theory??

Default That would activate the cloaking device.

Nah, not really. Don't know, though. Not sure I'm going to try that out.

Default No I don't have my car yet. I get bored while I am waiting so I ask these types of questions.

2 months to go.

Default No, Neutral can only be engaged via the shift lever...

Even while at a full stop, the transmission is actually in gear (just look at the gear display on the dash) but neither of the clutches are engaged. Once the TCM recieves a signal that the brake(s)have been released passed a certain point, the clutch is engaged and you can move forward.

Default Lol. It'll be a looooong 2 months too!

I know what it's like to wait for a car you're excited to get. I didn't have to wait for my A3 however since I bought one off the lot.

I spent hours daily on the BMW boards before I took delivery of a brand new M3 back in 2001. Scarey thing was I didn't spend a minute driving it before making the purchase!! It was delivered to my doorstep via truck..talk about excited! :-)

Default I didn't know if he meant "Neutral--where the shift lever is at "N" or

"Neutral--with no gear engaged". Since he was referring to not monkeying with the shift lever, I assumed he meant the latter.
