Default that %%$# sun shade

I saw the other posts about it sticking and kinda ignored them. Until today.

Has anybody figured out a way to carefully lube the darn thing so it doesn't hang?

Default Take it back to your dealer. Supposedly there's a fix now.

Default Thanks. In the meantime...

Some silicone spray on the shade rails and a reminder not to push the shade backwards any faster than the roller can take it up will hopefully keep it working OK until the first service.

Default Re: sun shade

I feel you pain. You can search my previous posts for my displeasure.

My dealer ordered a new kit for mine. Dont ask me to explain the parts cause I'm not sure exactly what they did to fix my problem.

They told me that there were rubber guides that were out of alignment. Lubricating had no effect. The fix was that they had to remove the headliner and adjust (or install the new parts) the guides. A labor intensive/part inexpensive fix. Mine works fine now. My shade never seemed to work as well as it does now.

One last word of advice, make them promise to clean up after themselves when they complete the work. I had grease drippings on my seats and shade when completed.
