Default Alternative to T-Cut

My impression is that T-Cut is for standard paint and not metallic. The scratch has gone though to the primer - i.e the white shows though, however it is only when you look at different angles - really all I need is for something which will hide the white and I could live with it. I have heard options for 1. Felt tip pen followed by wax and 2 well thinned paint to get into the gap.

(resprays are never the same)

Hi Robert,

You can get T-cut for metallic paint, but on the standard bottle it says "suitable for metallic paints". I'm not selling it or anything, I don't know if it will work for you or not. Certainly with my car you could see the white primer, and I think they were being honest when they said the wings needed re-spraying.

I took my car to an approved VW/Audi bodyshop (paint warrenty etc.), Advent VW in Manchester, and they did a fantastic job! You would never know that a front wing and rear quarter had been sprayed. No blending visable, colour matches rest of the car under street lighting, you'd never no.

I admit, take it to an independent body shop and it's a gamble. And it's likely to come back looking like a kiddies colouring book!

If anyone in the Manchester area is looking for a bodyshop, do not take your car to DW Waltons (trafford park) - they are ****, lousy customer service, and they do a crap job. I talk from experience!

Cheers,

Alan
