Default My question goes to the guys from UK

What size is your right wing mirror? Is it the same size as the left one? The right wing mirror on my S3 is smaller than the left one (like on some Mercedes models). If it is the same size as left, can you give me a part number for the right one?

I want to order the chrome plated wing mirrors (both the same size) just like Jordi did, but the Turkish Distributor claims, that they can't get hold of them. Can you tell me if these are available in the UK and if they are available, what are the part numbers for these?

Many thanx in advance

Painted mirrors are the same size in the UK but they do seem to be a different size in Europe.I've just checked out the S3 that parks near where I work !
Don't know about the aluminium versions as I have never see them so cannot help with description or part numbers.Perhaps Paul who runs the parts department at the Audi dealer could help out with a part number?

Default How odd...

Well that is weird, I never knew that some cars have different sized wing mirrors!

Are you positive that A4/S4 ones will not fit an A3/S3 ?

By the way, all this talk of S3's is really getting to me. I really do want one. It must be such an brilliant car to drive. My trip up to Scotland recently proved to me how good the A3 1.8T is, therefore the S3 must be simply fantastic.

I can't even get a test drive from my dealer (like Chris did), because they don't have one!

By the way Ravenx, I've been to your Yahoo S3 club site. How does one get in to see the pictures etc.

Cheers,

Alan.

Default My left side mirror is longer.

And it has a curved surface near the end to eliminate the blindspot.

I am not from UK but I can help you with the part numbers.
8L1 858 499 B 2ZZ , 8L1 858 500 B 2ZZ

I do not remember which is which. What I do know is that they are very expensive. Here in Norway they costs about £700.

BTW: They are not chrome plated. They are made of aluminium.

Ronny
