All S3's produced from January 2000 onwards will be fitted with ESP as standard. Whether the S3 really needs it or not is a matter of opinion but it is very much the same as a TT with a different shell. However, you can switch the ESP off by pressing the button on the dash so the choice will be yours anyway.

The issue is that, when ESP is installed, it reqires changes to the spring's and shock's. So is an ESP with ESP disable a less enjoyable car to drive than a non-ESP car.

The TT only requires the suspension retrofit as the ESP is calibrated to work with the revised suspension rates.

I think you will find the suspension on the S3 is unlatered with ESP as the ESP is claibrated to work with the standard S3 supsension when fitted to this car.

That would make sense Graham. I understand that the cost for fitting ESP to a TT is greater than fitting to an S3.
