Default Proposal for Problems/Maintenance Forum

I've emailed this suggestion before but it was rejected. I can't understand why it is more important to have a forum dedicated to DETAILING for God's sake than one restricted just to problems and maintenance. The A4 forum is annoying to read anymore. I used to log on religously back in 97-98 but got so fed up with all the superfluous entries. Searching the archives is ANNOYING to say the least - you have to wade through so many messages without seeing the order of them and you might not have even chosen the correct keyword. If there was a dedicated forum with a format based on problems, symptoms and SOLUTIONS it would be so helpful. Often I have a solution to a problem I saw in the archives but there is no consistent way to get that information to everyone - or I have a similar problem but the original message was posted so long ago there is no way to follow up that thread without posting to the current forum - which is filled with so much crap people like me don't even bother to read it. It's sooooo frustrating! I wind up going to other forums for VW etc just to get real maintenance information. That's sad.

Please consider making it easier for those of us with older cars to maintain them!
