Default Haven't heard of one for the Audi heads, but wouldn't that be pretty hard? You'll need it for the

chain sprocket to adjust the intake cams, but that is after you adjust the (adjustable if there is one) exhaust timing belt sprocket.

It really seems better if you can somehow adapt the adjusting chain tentioner found on the 2.8's and 2.7T's, and have variable intake timing or fix it to a more advanced position, no?

Oh yes, for other folks, this is because the timing belt drives the exhaust cam and a chain connects the two together

Heck, I just had another idea. You can have someone fabricate a chain tensioner such that you can slack the chain (top vs bottom) to provide more advanced position. Same effect as positioning an adjustable cam sprocket - for the intake at least.

Default I was told by the dealer my A4 (01') has an adjustable computer ran sprocket, advance and retards...

timing by itself to compensate at different RPMS. This is what my tech told me. I am not sure, maybe he is a full of ****.

Default The 2001 has 2-position variable valve timing.

Lucas has an older car, only the 2001 has the variable valve timing. I forget which cam it moves, but it only has 2 positions.

Default Only the intake. They didn't change the head. This is the same thing in the V6 motors ...

and has been pioneered and used in Porshe Boxters since their inception

Default Re: I Do!

On My 1986 Coupe GT's KX motor!

Allowed one to adjust the powerband up or down the rpm range.

Basically a "made for VW" item but fits Audi
10V cams.
