I saw your diagram and wasnt exactly sure what you connected from the parrot to The "remote Amp SW. On" (mine is currently an empty pin) or the the "To Power Amp" pins. Can you offer any suggestions? Did you actually cut off the ends from the harness and wire these directly in line with the wires going to these pins? Also how do I tell if my stereo is with the bose or not, as the wiring harness seemed to fit on the back. |

If I actually connected the tel- and tel+ to the line- (brown) and line (+) already, do you recommend unplugging the harness and then wiring the power cables to the back of the unit or where else? I am not sure why there is no sound coming out?

The Tele + and - lines, and the mute line I believe were not in a harness on the Parrot and those I just wired to the spades on the back of the headunit.
The other three lines (constant power, switched power, and ground) I believe were in a harness and had to be cut and then wired to the power source directly. None of the plugs that come with the Parrot wiring harness should be plugged into anything, not in line and not into the headunit. |

The only connections I made on the head unit are the three in the upper right corner. Nothing else was touched on the head unit. |

you can't connect to the audio inputs/mute on the back of the radio. You need to go into the DB-25-S connector. (behind the hatch near the right taillamp on a coupe) Pinouts are somewhere in the audiworld tech articles, in addition to being in the Bentley manual.
BTW, the Parrot is a great idea, but pretty poorly executed. Callers get lots of echo - more than I've ever had on a hard wired kit. It also doesn't sync addresses correctly with most (all?) Motorola phones.

You are only concerned about the 3 connectors in the top right corner. The other 3 wires from the Parrot were wired to terminals under the steering wheel and not the stereo as you can see in my post and link below.

None of my callers have ever mentioned any difficulties hearing me and most people I've asked have no idea they are on speakerphone or that I'm in the car. And it sync'd right up to my Motorla Razr, shared address books easily and I can use either the voice recognition the phone has or the system the Parrot has.
I suspect installer or operator error may behind some issues. Trent |
