Default 2000 TT Windshield Replacement Question

The glass company asked about the PAAS System for my TT's windshield. Anyone know what this is about?

Default Not sure what that is, but be sure the new windshield has the correct position for the rear view

mirror. Some replacement on the coupes have had the mirror position too high, this happen to me and they had to replace the replacement.

Default Commonly used on Audi, Porsche and VW, PAAS stands for

Pre-Applied Adhesion System (PAAS). It is a
pre-applied urethane system used to create proper adhesion with the windshield. It requires a re-activator when replacement glass is installed.

I don't know jack about this, but Google is wonderful and took me two minutes to find out.

All knowledge is on the web!!

Default Tru dat... I am awaiting a new mirror (round one) to see if

that will fix it. Did you try a different mirror? What year is your car? Coupe or roadster?

Default I have a 2000 Coupe...

didn't need to find a replacement mirror, Glass America reordered a new windshield with the correct mirror position. It seems there are a few styles available.

Default I had my windshield replaced and they did a horrible job

They let the goop come out from where the glass presses against the body of the vehicle. I forgot the name of the company....its national... but I had to use them since the insurance company pays 100%.
