Default ABT A25

Just bought a set of ABT A25(18x8.5), (225/40/18) would appreciate feed back on how low I can drop my '97 A4 without any major wheel rubbing. Please post any photos you may have with these wheels on an A4.

Default First off, id say 225s are narrow for 8.5" but

It depends on what kind of tire. Some are wider than others. Id say about 2" all around is the most you could drop without serious rubbing. Im dropped 2" from non-sport with my 97, and my race tires are 235s on 8" rims, and that looks to me to be about it for clearance. I don't rub with my setup, but I don't imagine im far off.

Default I just installed abta25's with 225's and H&R c/o, I'll take a pic and post it later. I

have it pretty low and it rubs but I'm having the fenders rolled next week. Until later.

Default I can't imagine you'll rub with 7.5"s and 225s

To answer your question, I run 235/40 Yok. Advan A032Rs. My street wheels are 225/45 Kumho 712s on 7.5" wheels with Neuspeed Race springs, and I don't rub.

Default I want to fill my wheel gap a little better...

Should I go with 235-40, 235-45, 225-45?
Sorry I'm kind of clueless when it comes to tire sizes
I want thicker allseason tires for my 18's

Default 225/40 sounds like the right size for 18x7.5

You could go 235.
