04 A8L heated steering wheel.

I just took delivery of a new A8L and have been reading the manual and cannot find out how to manually activate the heated steering wheel. is it even possible?

I beleive it is incorporated in to the seat warmer switch, if that is on then the steering wheel will warm up.

i see. well that makes sense. i guess i noticed the wheel getting warmer when i turned the seat heaters up but i just thought i was warming the wheel with my hands. thank you.

You have to really search for the fine print in the manual to get this info. It does come on with seat heaters, but only when the outside temp hits a certain level (I think I recall the number is 39 degrees F). Even if seat heaters are on, if temp is above this, no heated steering wheel.

that's kind of silly. why not add a button to turn it on manually? i doubt that i'll ever experience the heated wheel where I live just because it rarely ever gets that cold in sacramento. oh well, aside from that and the itty-bitty side mirrors the car has been a dream come true.
