Bad news, I Just got a chance to re-check my recoded Trans and it looks like the 00032 does not stay after turning the car off (the Trans has defaulted back to the 00102).

you need to check after recoding the transmission. if will always seem to "accept" the coding, but a unacceptable code will not "stick".

I want this feature enabled on my 2001 Audi S8,i have it enabled on my 2001 Audi A4 B5,i tried the same code i used on 2001 A4 B5 on my 2001 Audi S8 and it didn't work. The code you used to program your central locking module, will it work for mine or every 2001 Audi S8 with a different Vin# has its own code to unlock this feature? I am curious to know if the code you used is universal or i have to use some sort of chart,to make or create my own code. Please let me know ASAP. Thank you, friend. |

A8 and S8 have a different set of codes for this.
You can even do this with the simple free version of VCDS-Lite...I did. Works the same on all D2 A8's and S8's >>>> http://forums.quattroworld.com/a8/msgs/31839.phtml

Quick update: I think i understand the chart now. I see the codes and to the right,i see the list of features they represent. So if i want "one touch, auto lock, remote window control,no horn honk,i recode to "15208" correct?
What code would i enter,if i want"one touch, auto lock, remote window control,HORN HONK" what would i enter? I don't know how to create a custom code as i don't understand the conversion chart. Please advise.... |

Don't know why, but the base code seems to be 15108, which is the sum of the values in columns 8,9,11,13 & 14. The codes listed are the values listed under the functions listed added to that code.
I use code 16204 >>> Base (15108) + horn honk (1024) + remote window (64) + safety lock (8) which equals 16204...and works that way. All the codes listed add up that way. So what you're looking for should be code 15208 + horn honk (1024), which should be code 16232. Please let us know if that works...it should(?). If so, then other combos other than those listed should be possible...except that you must choose between one touch(4) or safety lock(8), but not both added. So I should be able to add "auto lock" by simply adding 32 to my present code, equaling 16236. I'll try that soon and get back to you.
