Well, I know the S8 doesn't come in a V6, but there is a 2.8 model for the A8 in Europe. The 444 hp supercharger kit is probably the right one for your A8 4.2. The web site seems to have a lot of inacurate information. Namely, their torque figures are way low. Only 264 lb-ft @4000 rpm for the 444 hp A8? Also, I don't know what currency the package costs are based on, but '$18,150' seems way out of line in US dollars.

Unless that involves building a lower compression engine with ported heads. If they drop the compression ratio then the boost can be turned up making more power. I have a hard time believing a simple bolt on forced air induction unit can make 134hp on top of a 310hp engine already. Also, the lower compression would explain the lower torque number. An engine like that really would need a manual transmission to enjoy it.

...the English section of this site is brand new, and he has asked for translation corrections to be sent to him. I noticed the Torque figures, too. In the UrS4/S6 section, adding 100 to the figure seemed to do the trick (from what I know about other UrS4/S6 upgrade paths).
As for the prices, keep in mind that the price (according to what I read) included installation, which could be significant on the higher stages of modification. Or, the price could just be wrong. So helpful, aren't I? Regards, Jimmy |

The 296 hp (300 hk) upgrade pretty much removes the 250 km/h limit in the software. The power figures are converted from the european hk,ps etc to the american hp unit. Audi don't seem to take this difference into account as I've seen that the US figures are identical to ours (aside for torque specs of coarse). We will probably skip the conversion altogether as it seems to be more confusing than helpful.
Also, as you should be very well aware of, the engine output varies a bit depending on the make. /S /Stefan |

This upgrade is for the 4.2 litre V8. Have a look at the dyno test charts provided with the upgrade specs (there is a link from there).
It is fully TUV-approved upgrade from MTM and the dyno test shows static output (not dynamic as most tuners choose to show). /Stefan |

Yes, we had a problem with the conversion from Nm to lb-ft initially, but that has been taken car of.
Also, just as Jimmy pointed out, the prices for all the engine modifications include installation. This could in some cases involve over a hundred hours of labour. /Stefan |
