Default Wiring information for C5 A6 seats?

Hi all,

I posted a while back asking if A6 seats would fit in a Passat - 5speed6 was nice enough to confirm that they would. They arrived yesterday and I was able to get a good look at the wiring challenges I'm facing.

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/113875/c5a6_seat.jpg">

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the seats or at least just a list of what colors control what that you could share, please? The passenger seat doesn't have the brown harness, so I assume that's for memory settings and I can ignore it.

My Passat (with airbag and heated seats) has the yellow and green harnesses so I'm thinking that yellow is the seatbelt sensor and airbag, and green is for the heat, which leaves the red harness for the power controls. I'll run a new power line for that.

Beyond that, I'd be interested in any color-coding information anyone has. I basically want to get everything hooked up, of course, without burning anything out and without setting off the airbag somehow...

Oh, and any tips for yanking the seats would be greatly appreciated too. It doesn't look too complicated but I've learned with these cars that looks can be deceiving.

Many thanks!

Default Here ya go:

Just swapped out my comforts for sport seats. These links were very useful:

<a href="http://www.htms.org/recaro.html">nene's RS6 for recaro swap</a>

<a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/460748.phtml">Boston Driver's sport seat swap</a>

From nene's site:

"The connectors shown below are for stock USA front seats. The yellow connector, 1st from left to right, is for the side airbag. The green connector, 3rd from left to right, is for the heating system on the seat. The red connector, 4th from left to right, is the main power supply for the seat, belt fastened detector, belt buckle switch on driver's side, and seat occupied sensor on passenger side. The brown connector, 2nd from left to right, is for seat memory"

Default PLEASE HELP!!! Wiring???

I can't recline my seat back on the drivers seat. Had the wires frayed because of lumbar support and it shorted the seat computer i'm told. I looked today to try to wire the recline feature independent to the computer, like the passengers seat but that didn't work. Any one with knowledge in the area can help??? The wires to the motor are the same color as those in the passengers seat. Thanks for any help

Default Thanks for the links! They definitely help but I think I'm going to need to find more

about the wire colors themselves since the car they're going into doesn't have the full set of harnesses and I need to run new wires. The red connector and the small black one at the end in particular are the ones I need to do some more research on. On Saturday, I'll have a chance to pull out the passenger seat and do a direct comparison and get some more pictures.

I'd be interested to know anything you find out about any seat wire color coding.
