Default Very Nice: Question regarding removal of bearing race from hub.

So you just wedged a chisel between the hub and the bearing race stuck on the hub to remove it? Were you worried about damaging the hub with the chisel? It looks a tiny bit beat up.

When I had this issue, I used a dremmel. Any comments or thoughts on using the dremmel? See the link.

Default Nice job!

I go through those things like printer paper. I do not understand why Audi's chew these up.

Default Also note that the bearing is rounded on the inside of the part that goes against the hub, also

it is easier to just press the hub out, THEN press the whole bearing out so you don't have to pound on the part of the bearing stuck on the hub. The correct torque for the front is 141lb plus 180. Great writeup! And I was sent an orange bearing for my front from PureMS, but ended up getting one from the dealer as I wanted the swiss bearing, not a canadian which the oranges are. Not sure if it really makes a difference or not.

Default Excellent write-up. I'll definitely be saving it for when the rumbling comes.
