Default 2000 S4 tip. ECU CODE HELP

Hello guys, I am a new S4 owner, I recently purchased a 2000 S4 Tip. 135k miles, one owner in pretty good condition. My CE light came one and EPC . Well, I went to Autozone, and had them pull ecu code's.
I am getting 2 codes :

1.P0741- the pcm has determined that the voltage signal from the torque converter clutch indicates inadequate performance or a "stuck off " condtion

- That seems very wierd, since the car runs fine (just can use a tune up )tranny does not slip at ALL, and once in a while a get a 2-1 downshift thats a tiny bit noticable.

2. P1633 - KAM Voltage to low.
- I have no idea what this can mean, any ideas?

Like I said car runs perfectly, just a bit sluggish on the bottom end (needs tune up ) I am also guessing the tranny has not been flushed in for ever.
Just incase you are wondering, the car is bone stock. Seems to be in very good condition.

Default Find a shop that is familar with Audi, ask them if they have ever done a Torque Converter swap?

If they haven't then dial the next one until you find someone who has or a dealer that has.

Default P1633 means the folks who sold you a car with a bad torque converter cleared the codes by

disconnecting the battey to clear out the p0741 code.
Just a guess. Good luck!:-)

Oh-forgot. When the TCC goes many drivers would never even notice if it weren't for the light. Some would even argue that the car is actually smoother without a converter clutch.

you think , I may need a torque converter? The car does not slip at all, drives perfect even if driven hard.

if that's so, then why fix it? or is it just a matter of time before it puts shrapnel in your leg?

Default No shrapnel, just bad fuel economy.

Torque converters allow you to have the trans in gear, yet be at a complete stop without stalling the engine. It's fluid coupling that always slips a little. A clutch was added to modern converters to lock it up completely given the proper circumstances, avoiding that gas guzzling fluid shear and reducing fluid temps.
