Reliability of 2001.5+ K03s - improved?
Does anyone have thoughts on whether the 2001.5 and after K03 turbos have any better track record than their earlier counterparts?
I'm wondering whether the revised TBB, no more F-hose and improved oil flow are actually making a difference...

hard to say, most that I know with 01.5's swapped to k04's early regardless of their K03's longevity
my old k03's were still rockin at 45k or so though when I yanked them, but I don't know if that can be attributed to the 01.5.

they are better, but still have a higher failure rate than they should
they received the updated oil galleries in the bearing housings, but the high shaft speed of the K03 compressor wheel still creates a lot heat and consequently death.
